1. In real world, not all the things are so obvious.

Character starts with a few recipes that could be used on workbenches. But not everyone knows, e.g. how to use herbals or how to repair rifle. I propose to remove non-obvious recipes and make knowlige about them findable, from books for example. For some "PROBABLY useful" things, like reedmace heads, may be introduced "inspection" option to find out how to use them, for other this option could be used to find out how to use it more effectively. And unclear things, like unknown herbs, may be uncollectible at all, until character know about them.

2. Mental condition

Left alone with nature you'll fight not only versus cold, hunger and wildlife, but against yourself. And it may be one more probable usage for books, tea, cookies and other luxuries. =)

3. Containers

Is character making tea in his/her hands? I never seen cups for it. Do food, like roasted rabbit, lay right in backpack and smear everything with its fat? Got to think about it.
