Blinding Spelunker's Lantern

I love the new lantern but unfortunately it is very blinding in some places and you can't even see the ground..

but in other tunnels the light is normal

Far Range Branch Line Tunnel

I play on a PS5.
Is it the same for others or is it maybe because of my settings?

I get terrible glare from it too in some places..  I've started using torches more than I usually would.    I'm on xbox
