Help with Time Capsule

Okay so, I'm running a 32 bit system, and i tapped in the beta codes for time capsule and everything, however Steam won't even allow me to install the game to revert back to the 32 bit versions of the game. 

Is there a way to directly install the 32 bit version of TLD?

Did you previously have a 32 bit version of the game installed?

If I may ask, why stick with a 32 bit system rather than upgrading to 64 bit? Just using older 32 bit hardware? It's hard to play today's games with outdated tech, but if you're not looking to upgrade to 64 bit, there might still be another way to make it work.

A long time ago, via GoG, but I uninstalled it and shortly afterwards it switched over to full 64-bit only.  I recently purchased it on steam (like i said), for the express purpose of playing on an older system, but the system as it is, is unfriendly to 32-bit users.

As for the hardware, not to sound rude but my reasons are my own, and it's a highly personal question that you're asking.
