gamepad settings

Hi, I recently started playing and really enjoying the game so far. I play with a gamepad (through steam) and I would like to know if any people regularly play with a gamepad have any tips or settings to make things easier?

I have adjusted the settings to reduce sensitivity(a lot!) which has stopped the camera being crazy, but the main problem I have is that due to moving the stick being less precise, accurately pointing at things is really frustrating. For a lot of items this problem is livable-with, but for small stuff - e.g. trying to pick up a stone, it can be really annoying. Is there a way to adjust the 'target area' of objects?

RSI issues really prevent me from playing mouse/keyboard anymore, so any tips advice would be much appreciated.

t\you should try playing with a mouse - its really bad - I'm surprised you just started and like he game, I started an hour ago and I already think it stinks.

Steam defaults the controller settings to right stick being "mouse look" instead of joystick.

 

Go to manage game, controller settings, browse settings, select default gamepad. You can make changes from there.
