footsteps in the ravine stay longer

I went from Mystery Lake to Coastal Highway and back the next day. All the way to the train unloading area, my footsteps were already gone, but after entering The Ravine, my footsteps were still there. Seems like they fade slower or maybe don't fade when you're not on the map or something?

Wind and snow will affect how long footsteps last (you should see how fast they disappear in a blizzard!), but it's true we don't simulate that for unloaded scenes. Footsteps in unloaded scenes will have their lifetime based on "good weather".
