Melt snow with body heat

I would like to suggest the ability to melt a small amount of snow with your body heat.  The result would be a little unsafe water and a big warmth penalty for a bit.  With water purification tablets you could avoid dehydration without the ability to make fire (e.g. stuck in a mine, lack of fire starters).  The choice of risking dehydration or hypothermia, would be an interesting.
