SweetNightmare
So I noticed that in story mode plants respawn extremely quickly. My question is do plants respawn in survival as well, albeit at a slower rate?
SquanderBot
I've been told no, they don't respawn in Survival mode. Which sucks because I adore those cat tails. Even if not totally realistic it would be nice to have them respawn after a while.

Something that has happened a number of times (not every time, mind you) during alpha is, when an update patch is released, as a side-effect, all plants respawn. Since there have been 6 updates in the last 2 weeks, it seems more likely to me that one or more of those caused the respawn. We can't know for sure until the patching frenzy has settled down. SweetNightmare
That's kind of what I suspected. It just kind of sucks when you've got a good base going and have to move cause you took all the plants, lul. I guess that wouldn't really happen much though. If you're reliant on plants being there, it wasn't really a "good base"... (My definition of a good base is: Good shelter with lots of storage, a stove and a workbench, rabbits and deer nearby, and no wolves or bears wandering past your door.)
