Inventory now harder to navigate

On the Xbox I noticed moving around in the inventory and transferring things to containers has become more hard work. Its seems like you have to press A and B a lot more to change between each subset of items like food or   Clothes for example. I just don't remember it being that convoluted in alpha......seemed much more fluid.
