Where to find lamp oil to make a torch

I'm at the point in story mode where i have to make a torch before i can go in to the cave, Did i miss something?

You can pull torches out of any fire with more than 10 minutes of life remaining.

There should be a corpse with a torch at the beginning of the cave... try to light up a match...
