Don Honas
A problem that happens sometimes is that you can get stuck in a crevice and youre not be able to get out. Realistic in a way but feels annoying when you in real life could climb out with some effort. Having jump disabled makes crevices dangerous (and seeking out every one will be much work). You could have the grappling distance be about 5-8 m (16-26 feet)with a 2 m (6 feet) dead zone radius for using the hook again (avoid people using it to "glitch" unreachable places). Bjern
You'd have to find this tool, rather than have it on you in the first place. Perhaps it could be similar to climbing up rope, where you get tired really quickly, and it's slow going.
