Unequipped lantern appears

I went to sleep with a lantern equipped, than I quitted. When I continued the game the lantern appeared in my hand (as normal), but I couldn't holster it. I equipped a rifle, and they both appeared (see the attached image). At this pint I checked my inventory, and the rifle was equipped, but the lantern wasn't. Re-equipping the lantern solved the glitch.
