Nevermind, problem solved. After posting this, Epic would not open or launch at all, even from the system tray. So I ran a repair through the installer and it's running as it should now. I hope this helps anyone who encounters a similar problem.

Is anyone else on Epic having a problem launching the game? I get the first "Made without crunch..." splash screen and it crashes back to the desktop since this morning. Tried verifying files, uninstalling and reinstalling, removing and reinstalling the DLC (wintermute and tftft), even changing the installaion disk. Blew out the cache and temp folders. Even hunted through the registry for leftovers that might be related to the issue between an uninstall and reinstall. Tried updating drivers but everything is up to date. And nothing so far has fixed it. If anyone else has encountered such an issue and found a fix or a workaround, or not, help would be greatly appreciated.
