Wildsky

So I'm stuck in HRV with broken ribs, and no painkillers. There aren't enough rosehips in the area I'm confined to (valley cave) to clear that last damn 1 hour recovery time, so I thought I could use a stim to climb my way out. But... every time I take the stim, and try to climb, the screen freezes. If I hold down the 'up' key, I can hear that the game is progressing, but even when I reach the ledge top and the stim expires, the screen remains frozen, so it's not much of a solution. This is a really long run, so I'd like to salvage it. Any ideas?
