I could do without cougars (seriously, I jump enough playing this game) but I'm eagerly looking forward to everything else!

Most of all I'm yearning for base customisation options like tidying up, decorating and making things more cosy. Further expansion on things to do when you've 'retired' and are very attached to a save and fancy some low-risk 'the struggle is over' cosy catastrophe living. Hope something's coming from the Hinterland kitchen soon - I'm hungry! x

Guessing there will be an option to toggle cougars on or off in custom. Retirement eh? Maybe a pet wolf or rabbit would open the doors here, make things for pets--cozy up the dwelling with some friends. Maybe some craftable vanity items like wooden lawn gnome or even some other structures with minor benefits. Wind sail (customizable), looks dope and describes the wind's behavior. Perhaps large wooden bear statue, slight chance to ward off wolves.  A walking cane, helps with injured foot or very small reduction to fatigue while moving. Maybe a long term canning profession could be fun for retirement, and you can spruce up the place with canned good.

  2. Having to break down torches 1 at a time. If you're playing on Interloper you're probably pulling torches out of a fire when you're done using the fire to save on wood. If there was an option to select multiple torches for break down instead of having to break down 30 individual torches 1 at a time that would be pretty dope.

  3. Okay update here, the only way I've caught a fish is by doing the following. Make a fishing hole at the back of your fishing hut so you still get the fire warmth, then proceed to fish WITHOUT a lure. If you fish using the hole in the hut with or without a lure you won't catch a fish, if you fish outside of the hut with a lure you won't catch a fish.

Pretty budget, but, it's a viable work around till they fix this patch.

  4. For me, I can't fish to enjoy the new content and I can't hunt the new birds for the cooking recipes because they aren't in custom. After Ralph's long promise and apology to deploy better quality content I am pretty disappointed with this roll out. Where is the QA?

Yooooo, thanks for hooking us up Hinterlands! Are you able to verify if these changes are available for custom mode? I had all the interloper presets and just put the restore condition at rest/not at rest to low:

I've been exploring Bleak Inlet on my Interloper, to get the cannery open for when im out of Whetstones and to get close to 100% exploration (im on 95% now, only area left is blackrock) and i have found and opened one of the new Momento Caches.

I have found a Cowichan AND a Fisher Pullover inside! On Interloper, this is absolutely amazing. I hope that was intended and not just a bug, because i just love getting the great cloths that usually have not been available on that difficulty, especially because those are so much better than thin wool sweaters and we dont get the item variants anyway. With those 2 Sweaters and the Climbing Socks i've found on a HRV Corpse, i have 3 Items that previously could not drop on Interloper.

Momento Caches are so much fun to collect, theyre truly a great Addition to the Game. Just wanted to say thanks for this amazing feature :)

I feel like this has to be oversight, rather than intentional. Maybe they messed up the loot tables on interloper difficulty. I've seen weapon repair kits and bullet casings that shouldn't spawn on interloper(low resource availability) , that being said maybe it is a good thing--some super rare finds could be fun on interloper. I think any change, which is the point of the expansion is welcome--variety is the spice of life.

  7. I think it'd be fun to have the short hand radio in interloper and be able to experience that gameplay. It encourages exploration--maybe just nerf the loot found in the cache and bring it to interloper levels? We should be able to access the tale and play it on interloper, once again just nerf the loot. Same with the bunkers, just nerf the loot in them a lot bring them way down to the pits of interloper; it doesn't have to be stocked full of stuff, but, if I find a can of beans and maybe a thin wool sweater I wouldn't be mad.

Same with the alternative items--aren't these suppose to be trade offs, what's the harm of bringing a different kind if lantern to interloper?
