Can we stop bleeding with anything other than the bandage?
like cauterize the wound with the torch?
or make an old fashioned medical paste?

Of course, they may decide to not change anything because 'tricking" people into sleeping through a weather change that causes them to freeze their way into the long dark is just one of the ways this game tries actively to kill the player.
well, that, and there's not enough coffee per tin.

As a person levels up, these items take less time to cook, but also take more time to burn after becoming fully cooked.
marathon cooking session means you either waste cooking time/fuel and can't rest at all.
-
while cooking a nap is often needed, however, a full hour isn't always necessary. a quick nap or rest is something that could solve this problem of resting longer than it takes to burn food/ boil away water.
resting could simply halt using up being awake the benefit being you are not recovering wakefulness however you are not using it either. at the benefit of advancing a half hour.

or a bag that can be filled with stuff and lowered and pulled up as needed.

Keep in mind, you may be trapped away from home base, any location that can be considered shelter may become home for a few days. leave some supplies behind or gather together for emergency use in the future. you never know if you'll be stuck in one place without a way to boil water, get warm, or cornered by a predator. a car in the middle of nowhere might be home.

however, there was this other suggestion I've been making about candles or ember cans. if we add pine wax to the game and use tinder as wick with a can. that could use up our over stock of tinder.
-
I use tinder and cat tails and charcoal as markers, so despawning would hinder how I use them
-
for example if a rabbit is really big he should be easier to hit and be worth more food when I harvest.
-
so I can fill if full of coal.

welp, lost an arrow up a tree aiming at a wolf, now how do I get it back? I was hoping to knock it down with a rock, it's not working.
-
the tin can may not be able to cook meat, however, I think having up to 3 cans on one cooking surface can work.
-
What do I do with all my rabbit pelts?! I've got over 80 of them! oh I know, use the rabbit pelts, some arrow shafts and scrap metal/tin cans, and some rocks to make a tent. or at least not use cloth anymore to build snow shelters.
-
my fishing tackle is ruined after using it for sowing, but now I can't at least harvest my hook back from it?!
-
We need a rope and hook style anchor item to allow us to pull our prey back to us in these sorts of situations!

anybody else seeing these bugs,

bears are immortal, shot nearly 4 times in 20 min and still got away as i lost the blood and footprint trail

"Boss" animals were suggested in previous topics. While overpowered specimens would be fitting, mystical creatures seem a bit out of the setting.
where did I say fight? I said find.

we've got that hunt the bear challenge, but how about more of that but with some spiritual aspect. like, "surprise you're goin' on a vision quest" to find the legendary creature. Like a thunder bird or something.

Maybe we can use a few tinder for wick in those candles the we've been asking to build.

how many ways to stop bleed out?

this is one of those rule of three sort of things, where there should be more than one way to do something at least.
