That would work if we would be able to hunt birds. Otherwise the crows would use you to do their hunting and call out to inform it's companions of food. Maybe you could trow in the fact that the aurora messed-up animal behaviour, maybe then. For the sake of continuity trap lines would only work if they are far away from the player.

I like what there is of broken railroad but for some reason it's always felt slightly small, or unfinished... can't really put my finger on it but I always half expect another area of the map to open up there every time there's an update.
Yeah i get the same feeling, they did update it in the past but it just opened up that area past the cave with that little bridge. Maybe if they would allow you to bypass the railroad via the river with a rope when you got to the other side that could be a start I guess

I have three that i love equally:
Broken railroad - so many deer corpses, forge, nice-ish weather, no risk bear kill, moose spawn near a base.
Timberwolf mountain - epic view, many bears, tail section.
Ravine - epic view, literally a safe haven, bridge, jerry can-hammer spawn, allows access bleak inlet.
If they would only make a region that is behind that broken bridge in broken railroad.

Yep, definitely not as difficult, but still fun. More loot than on Deadman, and warmer temps. No bunnies keeps it interesting though.
Nothing but wolves and bears

If you thought this challenge was fun, but not difficult enough, try the custom mode it was based on: Deadman

Enjoy!
edit: It may have been altered with the new hotfix yesterday, I'll have to check it when I get home.
I already have, I tried this challenge to see how it compares

Not going to lie this challenge wasn't that difficult, your primary concern is warmth. You can spam hot teas to get the warmth boost and just walk, that's it. I did enjoy it though nice change of pace from the usual loper

Had a similar encounter when leaving BI, 2spoopy for me.

From my time in BI i felt genuine fear for a first time in a while. The addition is nice, but it need some tweaking. Multiple day agro makes sense, kind of. Wolfs shouldn't just say screw it and leave just as you enter a building, these doggies aren't dumb, they see a piece of meat go inside something they will remember. Of course they shouldn't just camp their should be balance, maybe new mechanics to deal with their stalking.
-
I agree with this. This would force lopers like me to go back to the inlet.

Bedroll first coat later.
You have no idea how many time that bedroll has saved me from becoming a popsicle.

You all deserve some rest

I dare you to eat mouldy food and try to not get sick.
You can always cut of the piece or eat around it, but that would imply loosing a bit of food. Maybe in the future they will make it so the more mouldy the food is the less of it you can eat.

I like this one. Maybe add some character monologue about their tired legs or back

How about some kind of small crossbow that fires mini torches/stones or something along those lines. Could use the milling machine to make some sort of mechanism, combined with wood and guts/other materials.
This.
I will add on the idea, the dev team should let us make metal arrows and a better bow.

Really nice ideas, maybe make the TW packs observe the player while he kills or cooks, ambushing them or maybe if you are on good terms leaving them alone. And then you have an army.

This should be moved to wishlist

I made huge mistake taking my to 500 days loper character. Good thing I came through the ravine entrance because the cliff is much more hospitalable then the rest of the map. I managed to deal with one pack, but the best course of action is to avoid at all costs. The industrial area proofed to be a problem. The first problem: 7 timberwolfs. The second problem: those wolfs have an iq higher then 15.
I liked the notes and the "puzzle" tough the local resident of the main building did a number on me. Now my character is on the verge of death. As soon as I recover im getting the hell out of Bleak Inlet.

Have you been in the ravine yet?

Hate to interject but can you all just calm down. All this fighting is pointless. I swear this site is becoming a salt mine.

I can stop making water.
Even though I have enough, I still cover my base with bottles.
Farming
in Wish List

I think if farming was introduced it would only be possible with mushroom and cave fungi. They don't need sunlight so a warm damp basement or deep cave would be the best place.
