the travois also degrades in blizzards.
I've notice the travois degrade just being outside overnight, no blizzard. It didn't degrade while deployed inside the cave.

I love it and think it's a great addition. There need to be new Steam achievements, like an extended Beneath a Starry Sky that goes for 21 nights or Trek 50 km Pulling a Travois.
I like that we need to "portage" through rougher terrain, but going downhill would be nice.
I don't think it's resource heavy considering what it offers (I'm glad it doesn't require maple to repair!), but I do wish it was more durable.
Tips? If using it for the long haul:
- Keep 50 stones in it to make a rock cache when portaging, so you don't need to pick up 30+ sticks, 25+ cloth, etc.
- Keep a few deer hides and guts in it for repairs
- Drop the travois and scope out unknown terrain in advance

Strongly agree. I just got my first sport bow and I'm surprised that I can't repair it like al other non-crafted weapons and tools (gun/knife/axe).

I came to post this. I thought I'd seen it there and then it disappeared, but maybe I'm imaging things. Over a month alter and still no response from HL? I'm, in Blackrock now, charcoaling my way toward Faithful Cartographer. Wondering if I should abandon this region and head over to HRV.

There are three options for the HUD: Always On, Contextual, and Off. I run with contextual so I can quickly see my stats, which is what I assume most people do. But I got frostbite and now I've got that warning in my HUD so it's always on my screen. This needs to be disabled immediately. It's ruining all my beautiful screenshots!

@ajb1978 that could be it. I'm playing on a new game I started with Tales. And totally vanilla, I've never used mods with TLD. (Something I intend to remedy at some point.)
