I don't think I'm going to make it if I have no weapons!

You don't need to fight wolves. Just scare it with with fire. A flare duration is enough to travel between two shelters immune to wolves and wind.

I think I remember them saying that indoor locations will be locked at -20C, so... I'd guess that if your base temp is higher than +20, you may not even need to make a fire.

    We'll find out in 2 days! :D

    Worked as planned.
Boooring, real-time connection isn't the best idea, better to set more ingame goals.
Anyway, the concept and art is nice, thanks devs!

So, day 3 and i die due to a wolf entering the hunter stand I was in (which brought me to half health) and then another wolf attacking me with a lit torch as I was leaving.  Is it just Aurora wolves that can do this ?

Not aurora, that happens sometimes. Somehow you broke the scenario where wolf should be scared of torch. Appear in front of it too close or else.

It's a repeat of last year's so yes if your feels like is +20C or higher, you could hypothetically just stand around and do nothing.  But where's the fun in that?  There's pumpkin pies to be found!

That's what I'm saying, where's the fun? Through the years game teaches me to not take unnecessary risk. But the world isn't trying to kill me anymore! Got to kill wolves with hatchet for fun! 😄

  5. Well, this event turned out to be quite boring to me. During the first day got clothing +25C just in CH so now I can just sit anywhere for 6 hrs to pass. With enormous 2500 cal candies there is no reason to move to other locations. No struggling left that I got used to in Interloper.

I just had a wolf run INTO a hunting stand to attack me.

That happened once to me. I guess, if you trigger the wolf attack from inside (e. g. by shooting a non-lethal hit) or just prior to entering the hut, and the wolf stands in front of the door it can run straight inside.

kinda tough if you don't find the holy magnifying glass of eternal fire +1.

Not a single of my interloper runs ended because of lack of matches. If not lit fire 5 times a day, matches are sufficient. On the other hand, I often find glass but have a rare chance to use it - no sun when it is needed.

And yes, I understand that you criticize the idea of 'build warming fires periodically', me too.

Hint: build warming fires periodically (and enjoy a warm drink while you're at it.)

As for me, never make a fire in loper just to warm up. When it's -20, a huge amount of fuel is needed to overcome that temp, and matches should be saved too. Make fire + warm a drink takes nearly the same time as making it to a shelter.

Is two bear skin coats at day 50 even doable?

With huge luck, yes. First, you need a bow. Second - 4 bears. It's a matter of  about 4 days to kill 4 bears. There are 1 in DP, 3 in CH, 2 or 3 in PV and ML.

The hardest point is to be flawless. I have a poorly tested strategy. Crouch to a bear. When it notices you, it raises on hind legs so you can shoot it in the heart from relatively close distance. One arrow is enough. The overheads of curing and crafting (knife, bow, skins, coat) - about 30 days.

  10. Day 45 of interloper. I had parasites. Need 4 more doses to cure, so I was seeking for mushrooms. And everything looked promising. I went to raven, went to the edge of the breaking rail on the bridge, paused the game and went for a pee. Then come back, hit Esc and automatically hit W to move on. And fell from the bridge. The end.
