Oh damn I had missed this, thought it was still in the test branch process :)
Thanks! I hope I'll be able to try an interloper again one of these days... -
Sounds very good to me!
recap:- release things still heavy on mind (not good, I hope it will go away soon you all deserve it!)
- Survivaling +++ on december and then small nice updates. Perfect.
- More complex Wintermute. Needed and doable for the team.

I didn't follow the whole launch, I can only imagine what a pressure it means to have to do something like this with a small team and all the choices that Lierop pointed out. I can only say congrats and have a good rest. Work always sucks
Big up for how everyone is taking the hits of negativity in a complex creative process. We all learn by doing, nothing can be perfect immediatelly. Sandbox improved with time and I'm sure wintermute will do it as well.
If the roadmap didn't work for the team so be it, doesn't matter that much.

A me piace molto discuterne, non credo l'intimismo crei problema. Il problema è che proprio di giochi che non siano grosse cose "fighe" si parla poco in italia. Non stiamo messi benissimo ecco.

Sleeping suicide in a cave without a fire. I wasn't in the mood

Mi propongo subito per la traduzione

Io ci sono ma non so quante giocatrici ci siano in generale, ho la sensazione da noi si punti tanto sul mainstream.

Big salaries but in the last podcast he said they've reinvested everything in the game which seems possible. But big salaries

Wow nice stories. I got nothing like that to share I guess. Just some solitary hiking where you have not the best shooes on and it's slippery/raining.

Nice. I think the second part is better not because you start talking about TLD but because the flow of discussion seems more fluent and random. I'm speaking for myself but that's what I like in podcasts, the randomness that you get when people talks together without stress or a strict schedule (that should be present anyway).
Sooo.
The Thing is wonderfull.
I had no idea that some people were so aggressive in thinking that there's some kind of "scam" going on because of story mode. I guess it's the price of living in this moment in time and those spaces, sad. But I can definetelly see how a lot of people dismissed the enormous progress and possibilities of the sandbox because of story mode. Maybe in the future (next game) the two things should travel together, I'm sure there're ways.
It's also interesting to see that the team feels the need to have some kind of a different relationship with the desires of the players. Also something to explore on next game.
When it was mentioned the relationship of the thing and the sense of the outpost isolated and with a menace and the future games I thought again about the spaceship game that Ralph mentioned once. It could have some kind of loose connection, where in the spaceship you discover more about what happened to earth and there's something strange going on. And maybe more action :)) (MAYBE rpg things) And a big ship where seeing stuff in the distance can be usefull. And then the third game will be directly in another world. A zelda/skyrim game but done properly. With a very nice story and strange strange politics going on.
Ok bye. Wake me up in 30 years.

Wait a second I've missed this right? It's not the first first episode, that was zero... The Thing is a big big film, can't wait to listen to the podcast. I also have a little question to make.

It was pretty nice. Even if i dislike mad max I always like to hear people talk. It's relaxing while doing manual stuff. Waiting for the next one, even more random and rambling would be nice.

I'll listen to it while cooking! I'm scared by the Mad Max thing, never liked those distopian visions for a lot of reasons. I'll see

Playing risky and feel the level design.
also at the "beginning" (which means like 30hours) learning the mechanics is extremelly satisfying, different than other games. The audio section is also incredible.

Latest Interloper run. I was on day 10, my best, I started in DP and explored almost all CH, a lot of materials. I was taking coal from the mine to PV, then going back to the abbandoned lookout overencumbered and at 50% health. It was the beginning of night. I was totally confortable. Just before turning to the lookout a wolf jump out of nowhere. I drop the decoy but it was too near. Killed on spot.
I was in shock! Totally unexpected, being overencumbered in interloper is incredibly dangerous.- 3

This could be seriously interesting!

I can not do it without using foul language.
I died so many times in interloper trying to get from DP to CH, and it is all because there is nowhere to sleep btwt them besides cars which are cold and can not heal you back up. Is this a good enough reason?
Well, sleeping without bedroll will surelly be colder than a car! What you're asking is to basically destroy the game To get from DP to CH you have to be rested and make fires a long the road. And avoid wolfes...

+10 for emergency bedding it should be implemented immediately.
+10 for emergency bedding it should be implemented immediately.
but you should explain why or it's an empty +10!

Well, until we are able to collect pine boughs and use them as emergency bedding, the only way I'm sleeping on the cold stone floor of a cave is if someone knocks me out!
You'd be surprised at quickly stone can swipe heat away from your body. I've slept on both concrete and rock ledges before with just pair of blankets for a bedroll. In both cases, I had to get out my sleeping bag just to conserve enough heat to maintain my body temperature and have any chance of sleep; and it was mid-summer, too!
I agree, it's extremelly difficult to sleep without something even at a higher temperature.

Great news, no rush to release anything. This should be standard!
I'm curious to see how all those details will integrate into the clean style that I'm appreciating now.

Played a couple of hours. Congrats to the whole team for the level of optimization reached. It's very satisfying to have a open world 3D game that runs at almost 30FPS medium setting on my 2012 mbpr.
