  1. Last night I played TLD for about five consecutive hours. At some point I realized the autosave stopped working, because I was not getting the hatchet notification in the lower right corner. I tried sleeping and going in/out of buildings to get it to work again, but I got nothing. Once I quit, I found out about half of what I played did not save. Is there a particular reason this happened to me? I was wondering if maybe that happens when you play too long, because I don't remember the last time I played that many hours in a row. Any help/hints for future play, or any troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated!
  2. Thanks for the analysis! I'll try running TLD this evening on a lower setting and give a full report on the results.

  4. So, I bought TLD a few years back, and have been loyally sticking with you guys for every update since. However, My game now crashes quite often, and I'm worried that with the updates that the game's graphic requirements are now too much for my pretty ordinary laptop to handle. Is there anyone I could give my computer's specs to see if that's the case or not? Thanks!
  5. I agree on the "lack of discovery" when it comes to having a map. Plus, in the scenario itself if you landed in the middle of nowhere you wouldn't just happen to have a map, anyway, so that keeps with the spirit of the story. Thanks for the reply!
  6. I am brand-new to TLD and admit I don't know a whole ton about the intricacies of the game, so this might be a dumb question. Anyway. The three maps: do you unlock the other two as you explore? I sometimes have trouble figuring out where I am and what I discovered because I'm so used to being provided a map for these kinds of games.
  7. I haven't figured out if I want an area map added or not. If they did, I think it should be something you need to find, possibly in the lodge or one of the cabins. However, would that make searching/discovering too easy?
