Beepstar
I was thinking that perhaps the ability to increase your stamina (length of time you can run) and strength (amount you can carry) could be subtly enhanced by running or being overloaded. This should increment very slowly (perhaps like 0.05% per full run) or (0.01 kg for every km/mile walked with 5kg over load) as there are costs in calories and tiredness from doing so that could be buffed to make the risk reward more balanced. There could be a cap like perhaps 40kg max carry weight and 25% stamina boost to prevent it from being OP.
Barretts Privateer
I believe this idea has been discussed before (anyone, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong), and has garnered some positive responses. It is a likely occurrence, as over time, even with a normal load, you tend to become used to the weight (as a survivalist and backpacker, I can relate to this). Stamina, much the same (although going uphill for some time is still a royal pain in the arse). I just don't know if it is capable with the game engine.+1 for eventual increases in stamina and carrying weight, if possible.
