save game won't load, then it dissapears

Hi,

Been playing this only since Sunday, very impressed overall. But last night and now tonight, I've went to resume a game, it made only a little donk noise, then nothing. I then backed out of the resume screen then went back in and the save game is no longer there, I just get the option of a new game, I.e choose experience.

in both cases this occurred I've only had one saved game, but as described I can't resume, then it dissapears.

Really putting me of bothering to play it again. Any help or suggestions please chaps?
