Disappearing arrow into unmade fire

Okay so I was in the hunter's blind at the unnamed pond on Mystery Lake. I went to shoot a wolf with an arrow. I pulled the bowstring back and then decided not to. I pressed my hotkey to make a fire to cancel the bow shot, and the arrow appeared in the unmade fire which changed to red or green in color depending on where a fire was safe to make. When I placed the fire I got a crazy sound glitch and then the arrow was gone.

To clear up possible confusion... I did not release the bow. I just pressed the hotkey with it still drawn.
