Random game crashes since update from v.298 inc hotfix

getting random crashes since update to v2.98 at various times of playing, didnt happen at all prior to timberwolf mtn update, can be after a few mins of playing, or after a few hours, always the same result, blue screens but can still hear in game sound. computer needs switching off completely in order to do anything again. only happens when playing this game, have reinstalled my amd software and drivers all to latest to no avail, very frustrating. any ideas or fixes would be appriated, thanks in advance.

wind 7 64bit

radeon 5800 series gpxcard

i5 quadcore @2.57 gig

8 gig memory exc the gpxcards own memory
