Mac 10.9.5 No Sandbox choices

Hi, just bought and installed TLD today. Clicked on Sandbox and no choices (male/female).

Confirmed files.

Uninstalled game. Quit Steam. Reinstalled game. Same problem.

Am running Mac 10.9.5 and TLD is alpha v .301

What else can I do to get into the game?

[uPDATE] So, I loaded Steam onto a different Mac running 10.11.1 and installed TLD. Sandbox behaves as it's supposed to.

Makes me wonder if there's something rectifiable with my other configuration (see OP) -or- if TLD just can't run past welcome screen on it. Anyone know?
