EventHorizon
I recently purchased The Long Dark and found that the screen was plagued with tiny green dots during gameplay. This happened several months ago with Rust, which was fixed by tweaking the graphics settings, but this time that won't seem to help. Can't find anything about it anywhere and I'd greatly appreciate if someone could help me out.I've included a screencap of the issue. If you need anything else please let me know. SteveP
Maybe a graphics or screen set up problem? The distribution of the green dots is not random; they seem to be part of the game texturing. Perhaps you don't have enough color depth? (would be very odd, 16 bit color)What are your game video option settings?
EventHorizon
I don't think it has to do with the game's video settings since I've fudged around with those endlessly. In likelihood it has to do with the fact that I'm running and Intel HD Graphics 4000 when the minimum is 5000, but that's never stopped any other game from running. Guest Support
Sorry that you're having issues running the game. Have you ever seen green dots in any other game, or when running a benchmark like 3DMark? The first line of advice I can offer is checking to see if you have the latest drivers. EventHorizon
I had the same problem with the game Rust a while back, but that was fixed by either turning my computer off and on or messing with the graphics settings. No such luck on either of those this time. How might I check to see if my drivers are up to date?
