AI survivors

on the hinterland website, it says that AI survivors will be there to interact with on the story mode.

the last time i read about it, the first episode of the story mode is expected to drop before 2016. so with that being so close, why are we not seeing early versions of the survivor AI in the sandbox alpha? is it a feature that will not be included in the sandbox (being story mode only?)

regardless, i REALLY want to have random survivors walking around from time to time that can fully interact with the environment, and that you can interact with, yourself. it would make the game so much funner. with the story mode so close to launch, i expected to see early concepts of that AI in the beta.
