I'm still on on pc v256, been playing a long 80+ day run over several irl days. I just loaded up and all of the in-game text is missing. Everything that isn't part of the UI. The reticle and all hover-texts, picked up item descriptions, black screens, every piece of text that should take place outside of the Tab/Esc/Sleep menus are bizarrely nonexistent. Makes things considerably more difficult. But otherwise the game functions normally.. It went away when I exited the whole game and reloaded, but I thought it was worth mentioning.

Sounds like your HUD got disabled. Is it possible you turned it off in the display menu by mistake?
