After a year of playing the long dark, I developed wolfish paranoia! As soon as I see a wolf from afar, I crouch down with a revolver at the ready and creep up on the wolf, and when I do this I get very excited! As soon as I hear the “bark” of a wolf and the subsequent disturbing music, I jump in my chair. When I hear a dog bark sharply in the real world, I flinch. Once, to be on the safe side, I shot all the wolves on the Mysterious Lake (next to the administration of the camp site)! I also don’t like it when a wolf who recently walked in the distance suddenly disappears and doesn’t appear for a long time, and when you forget about this wolf he suddenly appears and is very scary! I’m also taking a big risk because I’m moving along a familiar route, but during a snowstorm, just to avoid meeting wolves!
