Option to remove locations of Caches from the map

I was just hoping that there would be an option for Survival mode to not see where any of the Survivor caches were on the map once the notes had been picked up. I personally like the Long Dark because I don't go around following Icons on the Map like other games, and want to use my knowledge of the world to find these caches. 

I haven't played much since the new update, but I started a brand new Voyageur game in mystery lake and found one of the notes that pointed me towards the cave above the camp office, and put the location right on my map. I found this quite annoying as it took away from the satisfaction of going treasure hunting without any guidance. 

Anybody else have any strong opinions on this?

Personally I think it was a great decision by Hinterland to give an attractive use to the visor of the cars, I would recommend that if you do not want to reveal those caches simply do not open the visors of the cars.

I don't mind the cache locations, but they are useless after you found them. So a toggle wouldn't be bad

What I don't like are the hints. But they are good feature for newbies.
