A quest to repair the railroad. Each repaired section could require 20 scrap and 5-10 fir. Then to actually repair it, you'd have to trade for a portable welder that can only be used during auroras, and uses a half liter of lantern oil for each section. Then you'd have to deliver 500 coal to the locomotive.  Once complete, it could trigger credits, and you could take a cinematic tour of great bear island.

You would also need a backhoe, 200 years and about a million dollars in gasoline. Don’t forget the industrial drill for moving mountains of rock and a snow blower for equally sized piles of snow.
