SO excited for this experience

I had a busy Valentine's weekend and only got to play the game a bit yesterday, but can I just say...

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR EXACTLY THIS FOR SO LONG.

This is my favorite kind of game. Just you, against the wild, and that is more than enough of a challenge. There's no need for zombies or anything supernatural, just you against the world, and I LOVE it. The first thing that really impressed me was the weather in this game! When it's foggy outside I really can't see a thing, and blizzards... forget it. I got lost in one, tried to find my way back to the Forest Lookout from Unnamed Pond (I had the way pretty well memorized), and got completely turned around, back at the pond. Haven't been brave enough to go out at night, but I've seen the videos of how beautifully pitch black it is.

I've been playing on Stalker mode, giving myself the biggest challenge possible from the get go, because I don't know the layout of the maps very well at all, yet. Haven't survived for 48 hours yet, and I LOVE IT.
