ChapnCrunch
So I'm wondering why I can't harvest cloth from curtains or towels in the dark, but I can: -Harvest cloth from clothes/bag -Make tinder plugs -Clean a rifle -Sharpen a tool -Read in really dim conditions, or right after striking a match -Search through furniture Are these done on purpose? happybjorn
As far as I can tell this is just another unpolished area of the game. There are actually some things you can't do in the dark at all, some things you can do in the dark so long as you started them with enough light, and some things you can do whenever. The best example I can give of things you can do so long as you started them while there was some light it breaking down objects in the world. This is potentially useful if you want to harvest a big object, like a 3 hour metal table breakdown, but have limited daylight and other things you'd like to break down as well. ChapnCrunch
Yeah, I've found that breaking things down after lighting a cardboard match is kind of an exploit that, given that I'm not very good at the game, has become REALLY useful. I hope they fix this, though, and that I just get better at dealing with increasing realism.
