Game save wiped after update?

I just tried to play today and noticed there was an update but my sandbox game data seems to have been wiped. I was 100+ days in. Any chance this could ever be recovered? I'm on Xbox one. Thanks guys. Good game.

We don't directly control the data on your Xbox as it's cloud based and managed by the Xbox, we simply ask for the data and tell the system when we have new data that it needs to upload. It sounds like it's not syncing correctly, you can force a sync by powering down your Xbox, unplugging it then restarting. You should see a sync message when you launch the game and sign in with your user.

I'm just doing the same. Hopefully it will work. My game save worked after the initial update but I went on again today and it shows no saves.
