  1. Well sir, I’ll try to keep this short, blankets/sleeping bags, at least2-3 per person, this will help keep you warm and comfortable, a tarp to go over your tent to stop the rain from getting in, just a extra layer of defense from the wet and cold, an extra set of clothes, no not shorts, pants, and a jacket/sweater if it gets rainy or cold out you’ll thank this advice, something to cook with, a small Coleman camp stove of some sort and propane, plenty of clean drinking water, a small first aid kit with tweezers (for ticks) and bug repellent. take something besides hotdogs and marshmallows for food, fruits, and veggies, trail mix, peanut butter, jelly and bread, as well as a good cooler to keep them in.

As for the actual camping place some soft material under your tent, like leaves or sand this will increase the comfort in your tent. Don’t bring food in your tent unless you want a midnight guest, (bears), always put the fire out in the fire place or on the camp stove before you leave/go to bed, if you have an air mattress good, if not place one of your blankets on the ground, the leaves or other soft material and the blanket should make a good bed. Hopefully, I have included everything you may need to have a good trip, if not I apologize for that, have a nice day,

    Thank you.

  2. my first bear hunt was in the middle of mystery lake, i was mapping by the island in the center of the lake and could see Mr. bear of in the distance, 'no worry' i thought, 'there's no way he can get over here before i am done' so i proceed to make my charcoal map as i finish i look up to see the bear clamber onto his hind legs  and let out a good ol' roar, any way out comes my rifle with a single bullet in it and i take my shot, and Mr. bear falls dead, now i got the hide guts and meat, the next day i return to retrieve some more meat and a wolfy decided i would make a good lunch, no more me.

  3. hallo, as I'm sure most everyone else has done I recently read the newest dev diary talking about episode four and its progress. at the end of the post they ask for a few moments of your time to complete a questionnaire about the future of the long dark, on one question you were asked to rank what you wanted the most, you had several options to chose from. and my favorite I must say was about a mobile game, which might seem small to them, but I have been waiting for the long dark as a mobile game all the way back in 2015 when "paulsoaresjr" did his original play through of the long dark. up until recently I had no computer or gaming system that could be used for the long dark and so I download cheap knockoff after cheap knockoff of the game I loved so much hoping and waiting. so in conclusion I acknowledge that they only included that as an example but still, seeing that made my day and I hope it becomes reality,

    thank you for your time.

  4. in the stead fast ranger video the dev's posted, Raphael said that he was scared that the game would become to gun oriented  that he was scared everyone would run around with gun in hand like a traditional shooter game, as well he stated that they had no intention of adding more.

I find Ash Canyon to be extremely glitchy like this. I'm not as experienced as many players here, but ever since I entered the map I find it is one big trap. The game randomly crashes (base PS4), and it's extremely easy to get hung-up on the lips of rocks, bridges, or as you discovered- logs. Ash Canyon is a really great map, but I don't think it's fully baked and needed more play testing.

I am having the same trouble as you in ash canyon I am playing on the Nintendo switch and every 10-20 minute's the game randomly crashes at one point i went through the same part of the map 5 or 6 times. on the bright side I can now go through that area with my eyes closed

  6. hello i have had the game on the switch for a month now, and am really happy, I know a chunk of what to and not to do from watching quite literally every episode of psj's play through's and survival modes and am grateful that TLD put so much effort into these forums. hopefully i can get some good tips to help in the game and maybe give some as well. thank you.
