Like, in all of the playtesting, nobody ever pressed J? Really?

I'm pretty convinced that most of the play testing (and development) takes place with a controller. It's the only excuse for the awful side-scrolling interface when you try to cook things without a cookpot, or the repeated centering of the mouse cursor when you're doing repetitive things and have to keep picking the mouse up off the desk to avoid sliding right off.

And while we're at it, why doesn't the game remember the last tool you used to harvest a carcass, or break down branches, or light a fire. Having to choose every. single. time. is a pain in the butt.

  2. I'm having a weird issue where my arrows do not degrade. Or rather, when I pick up an arrow and see that it is at 73% after killing a wolf, it then stacks with my 100% arrows and regains its durability. I've killed lots of animals with the same arrow over and over.

I can second (third?) the issue with hitting J and getting both journal screens superimposed atop one another. Please let us bind a new key for the signal void journal and leave the original journal as J.

I've also noticed that the stamina meter is always visible.

The new foods seem to decay really quickly, like in a day or two of carrying them around in my pack. I've only made pies and stews so far.

The improvised down sleeping bag isn't on the radial menu; like the new skillet, it's a pain having to deploy it from within the inventory.

I've found lots of ptarmigan in my ongoing Stalker game (in ML, by both forestry lookouts and once right outside the camp office). No burdock though.

The memento notes stuck under car visors still seem to be missing, as reported back in April.

  3. Please add a map marker for unharvested oak trees, similar to all the other havestables. Cattails, lichen, mushrooms, rosehips, saplings - every other one-off harvestable has a marker... why not oak trees/acorn patches?

  4. Using antibiotic tablets is wonky.

At first I thought it was that when you only have two antibiotics in inventory you cannot consume them; trying to use them to treat an appropriate condition comes up with the button to use, but clicking it does nothing. Further testing seems to indicate that even with four on hand you can't eat them.

So I ate a bunch of raw wolf meat and found that I could use a stack of 6 to treat the food poisoning, and then the remaining stack of 4 was usable to treat the parasites. Other stacks of 2 or 4 were still unable to be used. 🤷‍♂️

OMG please add scroll wheel support to the horizontal menu of cookable items that opens when you click on an empty cooking spot. Scroll wheel should go left-right in that menu. Scrolling past my million teas to get to the raw meat is painful.

    Great updates!

The menu when you click on a cooking SPOT should look just like it does when you click on a cooking POT. It's so weird that there's two different menus for the same interface. As always, appreciate the love you guys give this game.

I'm playing an existing Interloper save, currently located in Desolation Point.  I found a paint can in the Broken Bridge car, and another paint can by a window in the lighthouse.  I haven't ventured farther than that yet, but I expect the Polaroids will be out there.

    Awesome, thanks. Good to know.

As an aside (nudge, dev team), it's extremely weird to pull out a paint can and prepare to paint and then get the "you have no paint cans" message. That doesn't happen when you try to use charcoal or a gun or anything else. I'd say the option in the wheel needs to be greyed out if you've got no paint.
