  1. I have used the stims a lot when speedrunning the different challenges as you can do all climbs in TLD with one stim. However, as many state then in survival mode i would only use stims for emergencies and just make sure to be rested enough or use some coffees.

It comes down to personal preference, but I think The Hunted: Part One is a lot of fun to play, especially if you try to speed run it.  My best time is 6 hours 51 minutes.

    Nice time!

I also enjoyed The Hunted Part 1 and have spend quite some hours on it. To be fast it really depends on the weather and a must have coffee spawn at the farmhouse. I have been able to bring it down to 4h and 47m and think it could be done slightly faster if the winds where better. But also the cold is tough and can force you to reheat at the dam before the last part to Trappers.

  3. I like the challenges and have enjoyed speedrunning them for quite a while. I would start out with Hopeless Rescue. This is still my favourite and i like how you get around a lot of the maps. Other then that The Hunted challenges are great and can be done in within a reasonable time.

Archivist is also a beautiful challenge as you get through most regions during aurora and Whiteout forces you to be strict with your looting. So basicly they all bring something different to the games and demands some seperate tactics that can be continously tweaked to be faster.

  4. I will definetely be looking to do it. On the fastest run i posted i still had to cook 4L of water, which takes 2 hours, so a sub 17 hour time i definetely possible.

But i love that Goodzilla is here to push the time further down! Keeps me motivated :)

  5. Wow insane time!

I have also been trying it again and again, but have not been able to get it lower, but i will get there :)

I have also tried including the fishing hut between the two islands with houses as there are sometimes a rifle spawn and wood.

But think there are still ways of tweaking the route and tactic to get it even further down then your time.

    But congrats! Good work :)

  6. I like speedrunning (in-game time) the challenges and was just really curious if anyone has some good tips & tricks on improving The Hunted Part 1?

For me it offcourse depends on a coffee spawn at PV Farm but then also on adjusting the amount of time you reheat at the Dam and PV Farm.

Has anyone done it faster than this time and if so, how? :)

  7. So i went back to Whiteout after seeing your insane time Goodzilla. I spend some time trying to figure out the best route as i did not want to head for DP and return totally over encumbered as usual :)

My current tactic is to first loot the houses around Qounset to get clothes, minimum 2 tins of coffee and 2 cooking pots. After this i brew coffee and set 2x2L water over and head for the fishing huts leading to the fishing camp. Depending on whether i have the hatchet at this point i check the small cabin just north of the small fishing camp and then trailer close to the mine, the mine, lookout, mountain goat down to the 3 small cabins and lastly check the trailer just north of Qounset area. Then i am ready to head for DP and hopefully have some stims, Go drinks and coffee and write down how much i need and look DP for the remaining.

After some runs around the 20 hour mark i got this run done at 18 hours and 24 minutes, which was after i returned from DP and had to cook 3.5L of water to finish, so it might be possible to get even lower.

Well had to try HR again and got this run done. My recording got messen up during the run, so i will be trying some more runs to get one recorded. But the weather was shitty from the summit as it can be seen on the image, but used two cups of coffee on the summit and then had 5 stims between the summit and Lighthouse as my only booster.

I am confident now that a sub 13 hour time is possible! :)

  9. Thanks for alle the tips Goodzilla! I had to back to HR and do it again and managed to get the same time as you. I am confident that it is possible to get below 14h, so might just give it a couple of tries. But thanks to you and Lohaan 🙌 I will post the video of this run later, when it is uploaded
