I winged a wolf in the shoulder and it ran. Running became walking and I kept pace with it, tracking it, debating on whether or not I could afford to lose an extra bullet to put the poor creature out of its misery. A minute or two later, it turned around and absolutely obliterated me. I like to think that we died together in the snow, side by side.
