amcaamca
Hello. Anyone there? Come on are you guys still on vacation? I don't get to go, I was trying to survive in a cold Canadian wilderness with wolves on my tail the whole time you were away
Guest Support
Sorry for not replying quicker - A couple quick questions: What region/area are you in when the game crashes? Are there common factors that you're seeing?Have you tried the steps found here: viewtopic.php?f=56&t=7888 ? Lastly if that does not work, have you tried reinstalling the game? amcaamca
Hi, welcome back.First of all, I have seen many people on steam forums who are having the same problem after one of the latest updates, it might be worthwhile looking into it IMO.I have tried all those steps, verified steam files, dx9 mode, reinstalling the game and reinstalling visual c++ 2013, both x64 and x86. None of those worked. It happens mostly in mystery lake, camp office, but I don't think that's an accurate indication since I spend most of my time in there. It happens when interacting with containers, the ones I searched and use as a storage to be exact and it happened once while boiling some water on the stove. I understand from people who are having the same problem, these crashes also happen while crafting.I don't think it's likely but I suspected VGA driver since newly released "Radeon Crimson Edition" software mocked up so many things, it might have something to do with this.Radeon HD7870 VGA and Radeon Crimson Edition 16.1.1 VGA Driver, other system info is in the first post.Thanks. Flashman014
I've also had a random crash in the Camp Office while I was scrolling through the workbench recipes. The game quit just as I was rolling past fishing hooks. It's only happened once so far, I'll update if it happens again. I can also post part of my output_log if that would help.My specs are:Asus z170-A motherboardIntel i7 6700kG.SKill DDR4 RAM 16GBAMD Radeon R9 270x 4GB with Crimson 16.1 driverWindows 10 Pro 64-bit
Flashman014
It's happened again, just while I was rolling past the fish hook recipe. The output_log says it was unloading unused assets to reduce memory usage. It also said it could not load the library "/Mono/libc" or "/Mono/.\libc". The output_log said those things for both crashes.
jblotus
I think it is an issue with the newest crimson drivers. I did not have this issue until I updated. I am running a R9 290x on an i5 cpu.
