Forlorn Muskeg: trapped between wall and snow bank

Just started a new game in Forlorn Muskeg and promptly got myself trapped in here, between a snowbank and log wall. It's not a glitch per se, but it's always super frustrating to die because you walked somewhere your character can't get back out of even though in real life it wouldn't be an issue.

Yeah me too.. what gives?  Is this a bug or on purpose?  Can developers respond please?
