Bleeding wolves still disappear (and the bloodtrail, too)

viewtopic.php?f=61&t=2660&p=14612&hilit=bleeding+wolf#p14612 says that this would be fixed in the next update. My version is up to date and I still get this very often.

I got close to a wolf on purpose, waited for it to attack and than fought it until it ran away bleeding. Three times in a row (and on other occasions) I followed the bloodtrail immediately and after a while suddenly the bloodtrail disappeared completely and I couldn't find the wolf, even when there was no place it could've gone.

I think it has to do with either the distance or the visibility of the wolf. Probably the first since I was able hunt down the one in the dam.
