  1. Great work guys, looks to be quite the long list of fixes, thank you so much.
  2. Just an update for those who might want to know, I did continue to have issues on that save which I dont think I mentioned was a custom setting run. I have since started a standard stalker run and am on day 60 or so with no issues yet. I am starting to think there might have been an issue with the custom settings I had chosen before as about a 1 ago I also was having issues entering interiors on a custom save but slightly different error. I am getting established on my stalker run will report back if I run into issues but I suspect I am good.
  3. Update to the issues Ive been having, I did continue to have the crashing even after uninstalling the entire game and re-installing. It is worth noting that this is a custom setting game and the issue does seem to be related to a memory issue within the game I think as when I am in regions where I have fully looted and have the loot collected in the same area roughly then it will crash way more frequently then say if I go to a new region that I havent done much or anything in yet. The game would crash most frequently when entering or exiting a interior space, but also sometimes when initiating the save by sleeping in a sleeping bag and it seems to a lesser extent sleeping in cars. I have since started a new save on stalker and havent had this issue at all but only just started for about a week. I spawned in Mystery Lake and did travel a couple times to winding river to look for Vaughn's rifle, found the rifle in the dam from the winding river side.. did a few more things in ML, went back to WR to loot a few resources in that area and then went back into the damn and there was Vaughn's rifle again, left it and hope that is the only real big issue.
  4. When I posted this I was in the process of uninstalling and re-installing TLD, since that has been done now the crashing does seem to be much less common but still has occurred. As mentioned I can deal with some of the one off odd ball bugs but the constant crashing was extremely debilitating. It is worth mentioning that I did start a new save (custom settings) when the update dropped in Dec and it took probably 2 weeks before any issues really started appearing. Not sure if it has to do with all the extra collected assets as I am a hoarder as well and tend to collect a bunch of stuff to one area and usually put down a few 3-5 rock caches in close proximity together. I did see the other issue that people have reported about certain regions resetting where you can get things like barbs rifle more than once (however I did not pick it up a second time). Id be willing to purchase the game over again on Steam as I am on Epic if that would resolve my issues but kinda doubt it. As I play more I will report back with any updates.
  5. I'm so frustrated with this game, after about a week or two since the last update my game will most commonly crash when going into an interior space ie when it saves, though it does happen when leaving an interior space. The occurrence of it crashing can be quite high I'd say sometimes up to 50%. I've had to resort to sleeping inside my sleeping bag before attempting the transition which does have a much better success rate but still can crash during this. I don't use any mods and am on the Epic launcher and have done a number of verify files but no luck. And now I went to put a ruined bow into a rock storage then cook some meat/sleep 1 hour and received some strange error message about unable to save and to verify that there is enough free disk space which there is. Upon loading back in it seems to have reverted back about an hour and my bow and all arrows have vanished from my inventory. Once went to sleep in the truck before transitioning to blackrock, walked through the tunnel went to start a fire and sleep on the other side just to have it crash, upon loading back in I was back in the truck 'kinda' it had placed me on the roof I couldnt move and the only thing I could interact with was the hood. Thankfully I was able to sleep in that state and when I awoke I was properly positioned inside the truck. I've been looking here and on discord but don't seem to see anyone else with crazy issues like this.. is it just me? I have sent a support ticket in for the crashing, I'm able to live with the odd one off bugs like the truck but can't keep having hours of my time each day erased by these crashing bugs.
  6. FYI @Admin just in case it hasnt been mentioned I did notice that hand coverings were not applied to the fixing of the relay towers. I am not sure if this was intended or just an oversight.
  7. Speaking for myself I came into this game very late, never heard of it till I saw it as a free give away on epic, took it didnt play it for probably another 6 months starting in December I think. Once I started playing I can tell you and your team that this is a fantastic game, the detail, the creative, art and style are amazing, sure there are some bugs or oddities but I feel that such a product from an independent developer like yourself is amazing and it after playing it for a few weeks I purchased TALES. You guys keep doing what you're doing and I will still be here when more updates drop. As for generating further revenue Ive heard it said a few times now that your player base would like to see merchandise available for purchase again. So I am not sure if it profitable last time and am sure there is a high standard of quality you would want for the product but might be worth looking as starting the store up again. D
  8. I think Ive seen this as well, I will sometimes head into an interior immediately after a wolf engagement to drop some items off so I can better chase it and to also save the game incase the wolf runs all the way across the map and I lose track of it. Before going inside I can see footprints (this is another issue I will get into) and some blood trail. I go inside, drop a few things then immediately come out and no more footprints or blood trail. So its like a reset happens or something. As for the animal footprints the disappearance of these seem to be based on distance traveled instead of by duration from first impression. So a injured wolf running at full speed tends to have his footprints start to disappear quite rapidly even if there is no blizzard or winds at the time which doesnt seem right to me.
  9. Hi, the only transmitter Ive found and repaired so far is the one in Desolation Point, right beside Hibernia Processing. I will head over to the airfield and see if I can find the handheld there.
  10. So Im playing on survival mode, and have found and repaired one of these transmitters in desolation point. Something that hopefully someone can answer is are these transmitters actually used in survival mode or are they really only intended for story mode. FYI I havent found the handheld shortwave yet, not sure if thats in/used in survival mode either.
  11. When I first started the thread I had about 2 months of experiencing this bug and my experience at that time was that it seemed to be game breaking in that when I received the error went back to main menu and tried to resume and enter the building again it seemed to always cause the error. If I had all my supplies in that building then this was indeed tragic. Since then I have found that changing world assets, ie nearby rock cache or placing/removing nearby sleeping bag might allow me in the space about 5% of the time. So not entirely game breaking anymore but still very frustrating and time consuming. As mentioned I am on Epic Launcher/PC, I do backup my saves as mentioned from the other user's post above and my cloud saves are turned off. I have seen this error occur even when entering a new map area, ie the transition point between blackrock and pleasant valley. In a past playthrough I entered from pleasant valley collecting a few things on my way to the utility trailer, after looting a couple cars nearby I would encountered the bug when I tried to re-enter the trailer even with not world items placed in this map, ie rock cached/sleeping bag. So the bug seems to be somehow tied to assets. On that playthrough I restored a file from back when i was in pleasant valley and when I re-entered the transition map area the assets in the area were all different like it was re-seeded. I was under the impression that on a new game all world assets are assigned and decay starts. But seeing the assets in the transition map change tells me that either each map gets seeded once you enter it for the first time and that perhaps there is an issue with this seeding process as I had no problems with that trailer after I had gone back to the pleasant valley previous save and the transition map was re-seeded. So I am making due now and able to keep playing but its a major PIA, as I usually save by placing a sleeping bag just outside of these high risk areas that throw the error but have been attacked a number of times now by animals.
  12. Yes, Anglers Den is the most recent one that caused me to write this post, no response back from support on the issue but I have more info FWIW. Im on PC with the Epic launcher, I will try turning off my cloud sync to see if that will help. Ive noticed that the issue seems to happen most frequently with those rectangular utility trailers and seems to be triggered by placing objects near by them but not always required. Most recently I was at the utility trailer in Desolation point at the processing plant. I placed my rock cache a few feet from the door and the issue occurs. I also tend to place my sleeping bag just outside and sleep for 1 hour so I can create a save incase Ive done a lot of work only to have the error occur and roll me back. It would seem that my placement of the sleeping bag can cause/fix the error where you might have a 1 on 10 chance to enter the trailer without the error. So it would seem to have something to do with world items causing some error or memory overflow for these small interiors. If I do the same thing for large interiors there never seems to be an issue.
  13. So been playing survival mode on epic since Dec, and have had this game breaking message on and off which essentially stops you in your tracks. Luckily I backup my save files periodically so I can sometimes go back to a point where the error will not occur. Doing a search on the fourms doesnt really return any recent results, the most recent is 2018 and on xbox/ps4 and wintermute. So I figured Id start a new game when the dlc dropped.. even did a file consistency check beforehand and now Im day 35 or so in and boom.. same error. I mean what gives. Anyone else ever see this or know how to deal with it? I want to enjoy this game but this makes it really hard. Some troubleshooting I was able to do on a previous game and saves was if I placed a rock pile too close to the entrance of the anglers cabin it would cause the error, so I can 'cause' it to happen.. but this isnt the only thing that causes it to show this error.. like just exploring one of the three trailers in ML has the bug too.
