  1. Nope ; I just avoid learning the loot tables 😉
  2. As long as they don't publish "real full roadmaps" from the beginning, like January 20 - update 2.1 : we will add a cougar in Forlorn Muskeg (image) + a shovel in a cave in HRV (image); February 28 - Update 2.2 : we will add ackorns + introduce repices (3 kinds of soup, 4 recipes with cooked venison, 3 with cooked rabbit); April, 14 - Update 2.2 : we will add a M10 Wolverine tank destroyer in Broken Railroad (image)" I'm OK. Just keep vague enough to keep the sense of surprise... Now, imagine they've simply doubled the spawn points for bunkers + made it more random across the world 🤩 that would be a nice surprise to me. After hours of play, I don't feel satisfaction anymore when I "find" another well-known bunker... Spawning in a region a know by heart, and knowing that if there are matches here, there will be a hacksaw at the other end of the world kinda bores me. But to each his own feelings, indeed. 😉
  3. OK, sorry if I've been a bit rude... @hozz1235 The original subject of the topic was "Roadmap is missing the roadmap" ; As the disappearing of bunkers is more than probably a bug, this has nothing to do with the roadmap. This is just an example of "thing disappearing, what should we do, file a ticket or not ?". Don't even know why you came with that in this topic... My interventions were about the whole "roadmap" thing: does Hinterland need to announce every single little change they make ? Do they need to document it before the release ? or document it for every minor release ? Do they need to announce when they will add the cougar and other features ? - and if they don't, does it ruin the players' experience ? For me, it's enough to know that "the world will change a lot in 2023". I'll be happy with what they release (wait... maybe not if they add zombies). @Semple Fi Why ask Siri ? Don't you know you can ask someone real to read it for you 😉 Maybe you're a bit too much used to loneliness...
  4. Are bunkers a "game mechanic" or a "game feature" ? For sure, when you find that bunkers disappeared, you can always file a support ticket. It is either a bug or a game feature that has changed. But why should you be angry about that ? There are bugs in game, and you still play with it, right ? Just file the ticket if you feel this is necessary, wait for a fix or an answer, and that's it. The game isn't impossible to play without the bunkers, they are not an "essential game mechanic". If they're not there, it just complicates the challenge a little bit... In fact, I would find it cool if some buildings / loot places could disappear / reappear over time (after blizzards, for example), making the world more evolutive. Being unable to enter Carter Hydro for a real-life month would be cool. Making the respawn rate of animals more realistic (in-game months !) would be wonderful. So, removed bunkers for a week or two, that's not worth complaining about. Remember the vanished key bug ? That was just a sort of challenge. It's a question of perspective. Try to be more playful, and less of an angry consumer.
  5. Let's get serious for a minute... - if tomorrow, you find a cougar, would you file a support ticket about it ? No, you'll post a screenshot here. - if after 2 weeks of research, you don't find a cougar, would you file a support ticket ? No, because you can't say "I searched absolutely everywhere, and I'm 100% sure the cougar is missing" - if you find a traditional "guaranteed spawn" is missing, would you file a support ticket ? If yes, you should learn to read, because it was announced from the beginning that there would be a refresh of the loot tables (oh, and they also announced big changes to gae mechanics). - if tomorrow, you find a flying pink cougar making boat noises and fireworks (like, a 75 years old cougar from Las Vegas), would you file a support ticket ? 🤔 You seem to want Hinterland to release an update of a discovery game, and at the same time document all that's new. Why not asking directly for the complete full-spoiler map ? Or maybe an in-game 30-seconds video showing the cougar when he's around ? Or... oh, wait : a big red arrow above the cougar, with a tutorial "how to kill the cougar" ? And small notes like "there used to be matches here, but they are gone ; you should check in moutaineer's hut instead" ? Adding a cougar is not a change to the "game mechanics", neither is refreshing the loot tables. Knowing the loot tables by heart is not a part of game mechanics, it's a hack. The whole purpose of the game is that you don't know where to find what. If you already know where everything is from day 1, where's the plaesure of playing ? Where is the immersion ?
  6. Yes. The premise was that world has changed. I'm even a bit annoyed when I still found things where they used to be. This has even a name : replayability. For example, I'm not a fan of "guaranteed matches spawn" in Interloper. I would prefer that there would be matches (guaranteed) in a defined perimeter around your spawn.
  7. Wait... do you mean this is a game for boomers and such ? 🤔
  8. I'm really more suprised every day seeing how people playing this game are unable to cope with frustration and joy of self-discovery (that are core values in game...) 🤔 We paid for a year of updates. They will come when they will come. In the meantime, play, discover, just like before. And enjoy it. Would it really be more enjoyable to you if HL told "we added a cougar in Forlorn muskeg, next to the exit to Mountain town" ?
  9. Everything that was started before the TFTFT DLC is not compatible with it. I think that, by downloading and installing the TFTFT DLC, your clients stops & restarts (to be confirmed, but sounds logical to me...). The main menu has been completeley revamped, too. So assume that everything started froom the new revamped menu will run in the new environment of TFTFT DLC.
  10. You can make infusion with it, like in-game, but you can also eat them right away after the first day of freezing. They are also delicious when prepared in jam, indeed
  11. Super boulot, bravo ! Si tu as besoin d'aide, n'hésite pas ! (je me suis déjà permis quelques petites corrections orthographiques sur quelques pages )
  12. Sincerely, I don't understand all this fuss... This was clear from the beginning : updates will be released over a year, so not all content will be available at launch. So, answers to questions like "anyone found the cougar ?" are simply : if you did not find it, well maybe it will appear in the future. But continue searching, that's all the point of the game 😉 Things have always been like this, but customers seem to have little memory : 1. You are an early adopter - you want things on day 1 of their release => you'll pay a little less, but expect bugs, fixes, and eventually some problems. 2. You prefer security and good information => buy it later, when all the fixes are released and all the information is available. If you're a real adventurer, there should be no problem for you with option 1 : you have chosen to adopt a product early. You have chosen to pay less to satisfy your "curiosity". You have to chosen to take the discovery path, with scheduled releases. You have chosen to trust Hinterland on this. You have chosen the risk. You don't accept this ? Then wait for a year before purchasing. And don't tell me about bugs and bad information : most of you are playing on Windows... 😉 And for those who rant about "no cougar in this update, but they tease it in video"... Yep, they are teasing. That's commercial, it's a way to attract you, nothing new or wrong with this. It's a commercial communication on what will come over the year, not on the very first release. They never promised anywhere that they would be cougars on the first release. All the commercial communication is about the one year scheduled releases. Honestly, anyway : did you buy this update because they announced a cougar ? NO. They announced "new fauna and plants", "improved cooking", and so on. And the fact is that this was enough to convince you to purchase immediately. It was your choice to do it with the info you had. So don't rant on them afterwards.
  13. I have no problem with the communication around TFTFT. In fact, I found they should have done even less. The Long Dark is all about discovery, that's the core of the game. I highly prefer to discover if cougars are in the game by myself, rather than knowing it before even purchasing the DLC. The whole point is that we will discover a whole new region. It is not really "new" if we know all of it before...
  14. I started a fresh Stalker run right after the update, and I have the strange feeling of having more loot than before... Do you feel the same ?
