  1. It would be nice to have a pistol wall display as a build-able option when the base customization update drops. Something like in the below image. Also let us use the coat racks currently in the game to hang up our coats and make the displays something we can build as well.
  2. I would be fine with this as well, Even if it was only a minute or two each. I would rather not use mods though to enable this.

So as I hit fire starting level 3 and start dropping tinder plugs and cattails because they have no purpose I was trying to brainstorm how to make them useful again once you hit higher level fire starting. My idea is to make a recipe that uses them to craft firelogs. The recipe could use fishing line, tinder plugs, and a workbench to condense down the tinder plugs into a firelog.
  4. This idea sounds fun, I posted another idea a couple weeks ago about making the books you find throughout the world a way to stem cabin fever.
  5. Agreed, It would be nice to be able to rest rifles/bedrolls against a wall or have the rifle snap mount to the rifle racks that you can find them on to begin with.
  6. To expand on this idea the "Book Smarts" badge could have a secondary effect to it to help with normal books too. After unlocking the badge through research only it could maybe increase the amount of time a book can be read by 1-2 hours or another effect. Without the badge reading a non-skill book could mitigate 50% cabin fever but with the badge on you can mitigate 75% or 100%. Currently the Book Smarts badge probably goes underused if at all so this would breath new life into it.
  7. Make it to where the the random non-skill books we find are able to be read to either mitigate cabin fever while reading or reduce the time added to the hours spent indoors count by 50%. Each book would only have X amount of hours of reading time and either cannot be read again or can only be read after x amount of days have passed. With the mentioned improved base system can you also add in functional book shelves. Make it to where it can have items stored in it like a container but limited to only books. The book stored in the shelf would be neatly lined up on the shelves.
  8. Are the cache markers supposed to go away after you loot the box/container the new notes direct you to? I looted one tonight in Mystery Lake and the marker is still on the map.
  9. To expand on the pit style fire maybe make it to where we can use some fishing line to construct a smoking pit at firestarter 4/5 at the final form of the OSCF. Make the small pit version a level 3 skill add-on?
  10. Sitting here in the Camp Office in Mystery Lake looking at the mounted fish on the walls. I think it would be funny if there were some randomly spawned mounted fish that were the annoying singing fish that activated during an aurora. Once discovered you could use a prybar to "salvage" them for some scrap metal but not before. This would mainly be so people can turn off the annoying fish if they don't want it.
  11. So I was thinking about the unlisted skills Firearm cleaning and sharpening. It would be nice if they were made into actual skills with levels. Stones could be an option to sharpen blades and have it tied to the sharpening skill on efficiency, The stone would be a one time use sharpening tool and then be consumed. Firearm cleaning kits would be nice to be repairable with using cloth, metal scrap, toolbox, and workbench. Sharpening level 1: Stones have a high chance of decreasing durability of a blade instead of sharpening. Whetstones consume 5 durability per use. Durability of blade is increased by 2. Time to Sharpen 12 minutes. Sharpening level 2: Stones have a moderate chance of decreasing durability instead of sharpening. Whetstones consume 4 durability per use. Durability of blade is increased by 3.Time to Sharpen 10 minutes. Sharpening level 3: Stones have a slight chance of decreasing durability instead of sharpening. Whetstones consume 3 durability per use. Durability of blade is increased by 4. Time to Sharpen 8 minutes. Sharpening level 4: Stones have no chance of decreasing durability during sharpening. Whetstones consume 2 durability per use. Durability of blade is increased by 5. Time to Sharpen 6 minutes. Sharpening level 5: Stones have a slight chance to not be consumed on use of sharpening. Whetstones consume 1 durability per use. Durability of blade is increased by 6. Time to Sharpen 5 minutes. Firearm cleaning could be tied into repairing cleaning kits, maybe tie the ability of actually repairing them to level 3-5. Durability of the cleaning kit and amount repaired could reflect the ratio's above along with cleaning times.
