The Mountain! The king beneath the mountains, the king of carven stone. The lord of dog's boddies. Shall come into bear's jaw! I'm not dwarf but I love Mountain too. Due to the fact that on the cliff you can find the tail. Body you can find in PV, wheel on the border of Timberwolf Mountain, aings same. But tail... Oh... You know, the Mountain is worth it only by the Tail. See no sense to come here except - next go to the Ash Canyon or visit Tail. Many from Tail isn't rare: blue and red toolboxes, whetstones, cleaning and sewing kits - that is not rare, but quantity more important here. From tail you can save much of them. Hundreds of kits and tools, endless ammo, lots of clothes and fabrics, few spray prints. Unfortunately I found not so much ammo, but not a cry situation. I'm good even with a bow. Almost forget - unlimited coffee and tea. I found maybe 70 coffee tins and 50 tea bags. I can live without sleep now maybe a month. Also food. So much food. Screenshots from part 1 were made after I visited mountain. On this screenshoots you can see how much food I found, almost all from mountain (take in mind that I ate half while transfer all items from mountain to PV's house). But! First you must get to the top. You have 2 ways to get it. First - speedrun with 5 coffee cups and totaly ignore the closer plane's boxes. Second - search all containers and, like a donkey, bring all items to the top (my way). Good tips from me - you have shortcut from tail to lake house. You can slide down from tail by cliff. Even if you break a few legs and arms. You can fix yourself by 2 bandages (you need to heal only 2 legs). Take in mind that if blizzard will catch you on lake you can get lost. So in that way better time to go down will be immediately after last blizzard (Mointain isn't Airfield so next blizzard will not start after the end of the previous one). You can waste one flare to protect yourself from the wolfs when you get normal ground (blue circle on my map, the red line is shortcut from Tail to house). This flare will be enough to search (if you didn't search) containers on small upland near the circle and get house. In general - no sense to take all items from mountain. You can pick up only food and kits (not a toolboxes). Also pick up ammo and rare things (like flare gun, rare pants etc). Will be nice if you have a moose bag, but I wasted so much time to search highway and DP, so I must walk to mountain even without it, cuz I almost lost many cans of 8% soda in containers. But stack loot in the Lake house isn't enough. Second in plan - transfer all items into the PV house (goodluck for all players who lived in Milton). You can transfer all of this into 2 or 3 ways. No need to hurry here. My own plan has name "LCS" - Loot, Collect, Skills. First - I loot everything that I can, and I did it, main locations looted. Second - I transfer all important things to my main base. Important things is food, ammo and kits, no need to transfer 3 same rifles to your base, cuz in that case you will transfer 8kg of empty profit weight. better transfer 3 cleaning kits and a few books, and after all preparations you will take maybe 4kg real weight (not 12). And if you will need to go, for example to the Coastal Highway you will take only 10-15 bullets, but no rifle (cuz rifle wait you inside CH). Third - improve your skills. I think the first what you need to improve until 5 lvl is cooking. Because I already won 3% casino and my prize was 10 days in hell. Thx parasites. Thx my luck that I didn't catch parasite ill after eating the cat tails (don't underestimate my luck, I could) Well, here that's all folks, next will be Ash Canyon - my favorite location. The Desolation Point met me with strong blizzard. That wasn't good so I waited a good weather inside the mine (between semi-location and DP). In first part I said that the DP is the stupiest area ever. No-No-No! DP, in comparing with AirField, is the best location on global map. You know... Any location in comparing with AirField is the best. But today not about Airfield. Now we are talking about Desolation Point. So beautiful name and so boring place. Main building on location is the "Last Whale's House". Big house with good loot, workbench and boxes to store your loot. (and scary sounds outside the house). Another one place - Lighthouse. Common place with common loot but at least no scary sounds. I found nothing interesting here. But this place, i think, the best to living cuz lighthouse is a center of DP, no doggies around, no bears, no need to climb up (like in case with boat) and lighthouse easy to find in dark time. Boat - on my opinion the worst place to living in DP. No bed, cold, big percent to find a bear near the boat's exit (cuz boat are on bear's route). So... First I visited main house, but didn't find something interesting... In fact - all location wasn't interesting, but i found a few skill books. Also I found many foods, ammo and tools. Made the secret stash inside the Hibernia Processing and leaved this place. When I was on return way I found a bear (well... find isn't good word for that situation. I ran in front of bear's face and he couldn't hold this insult). In panic I used the flare gun and... I... I don't even know why he died? Maybe heart-attack, maybe he sprained his leg, maybe I'm a Jhon Wick and was able to aim flare right into his nose, but bear died. I don't remember the update where flare gun got ability to kill, but now I have many bear's meat, guts and one bear's skin in the house on the Coastal Highway. Not so big today, because I don't know where u can find a journey on the DP, but next part will be about Mountain (not Erebor), and this story will be more interesting. I believe...

Yo Dazo! To make a long story short I wanted to make a story about 500 days of survival on stalker difficult. Why Stalker? Just because i think that Interloper difficult is an idiotic for me. Just my opinion, no insult intended. The world where u cannot find a simple tools like knife or hatchat (let alone a rifle) is a quite stupid for me. I can check neighbour's houses and find a pack of knives, hatchets and maybe find few rifles especially now (thanks to russian intruders) so why i can't find at least one knife, hatchet and rifle in the whole world? Nevermind. I started from Pleasant (peasant(SJCI(Stupid Joke Came In))) Valley. Since last 10 runs i chose PV as a main location. Big place with lots of things to see, ability to find high tier loot, have moose, etc. The main problem on this location is unstable weather. Now sun and good temperature - you start walking - *aggressive blizzard's sound* - you going back. Anyway like this location because this location has a farmstead home. So many places to place loot, 6-pot cooker, workbench in the basement and good location - in the centre of PV which gives you equal distance to loot objects. I wanna make story around 50 days or close, so I'm going to start with 1 day - 5 day. On the first day I spawned in the Community hall area. All day i loot Community hall, church and market. The second day starts in the barn. 2 looted areas and I already feel myself like donkey - 40 kg on my back but I walk with the smile cuz it's about 20 kg which i can place (Yes I do love place loot). Inside farmhouse i didn't find a rifle. Only a pistol... Well, unlucky, but not to cry situation. On 5 day, before lunch, I walked to the radio tower, if luck smiles on me i can find something interesting. In fact i found. Blue long parka - high tier clothes on stalker difficult. Better only orange parka or skin-clothes. Fixed the radio box and leaved this tower. In the dead end nearby on road I didn't find the rifle too. Sadly... But not to cry situation. But in barn near the farmhouse i found... Another pistol... From 5 to 10 day i just looted PV as much as i can. I didn't want to stay in PV much cuz food in other locations could break and wipe, so in the end of 10 day i was in lower dam. My purpose was find as much food as i can and take it off the cabins and stores. And i did it. On mystery lake food still on the ground but *spoiler alert* i was able to take off all food from tail on timberwolf mountain. And now i have food maybe on 20 fat days of good survival. But this will be later. On Mystery Lake i always have a few places to loot. First and main - the dam (high and low). Second - Camp office, small cabins on the river and houses behind the cabins. Third - Trapman's house. And last is a broken and a normal lookout. That all what I found interesting. Another places is boring and they didn't have at least good tier loot. Almost forget - inside the dam i found a new shitty-rifle... seems like garbage but i didn't try it. Next station - Coastal highway or just "Big Road". I came to this location throught an area which close to Dam (not from PV's mine) i just can't remember how it's called. A few days i waste on resting and sliding down from alone blue container on the railway. This location same with Mystery Lake - same boring, same common loot. One of the difference - more doggies and mooses. I checked rabbit's house, misantrope's house, gas station and watterfront cottages (next u will see a funny situation with this houses)... And... During i writting that i remember that... i forgot to check the fishing camp. Will check it next time! From Big road, through small location between DP and CH I came to Desolation Point. My opinion - but this is the most boring location ever. Bears everywhere: you come to the location - bear with rusty pinnacle peaches meet you with pleasure, you come to the Hibernia Processing (hard name for me so i just say "last house for whales") - bear behind you, u lay down to some sleep, watch on the roof - bear, like in Mission Impossible, slowly descends from the roof by the mountaineering rope. Doggies everywhere too but dogs suck in this game, so this more annoying than dangerous. Well I think this is normal for first chapter, so... I will end this small part. If you think that my story seems a little strange - you're right, english isn't my native langauge, so I'll be glad to see any comment about improve my speech. Now i'm on 63 day and i left some screenshots. Some items I didn't describe in this part cuz i find it after 30 day, so... In next part i will describe Desolation Point. My gratitude for this comment. It's true that I don't understood many part when I try to read this without translate. Many of these mistakes I made because I still thinking on ua language, but sometimes it's not gonna work, any you will make mistakes. Anyway I'm very happy that somebody can show me my mistake. In next part I will try to prevent this mistakes. P.s. Am I right that bug's picture its example in different type in meaning English? Because, if I'm not right, I don't know why this bug here)

The Long Dark is the good game and I have been playing in this game since first alfa version in Steam. And in this topic I will try to describe my experience in challenge "all places on map" What I mean, when say "all places on map" - I mean ALL map, every named and non-name place like main house on Pleasant Valley and comon field with wolves on Ash Canyon. Every places on each map and places between map. But first - small precondition. First of all - this topic is my teacher for written English (I'm not 15 y.o. I'm from Ukraine and I try to learn English), so if you will find a mistakes and you will desire - I will be glad if you mark my mistakes. Second - "Why you choose stalker (wolf icon) but not a uninvited guest (skull icon)" - Because I don't like play when game lost many part of content and game-mechanics. What I mean: no rifle, no many types of clothes, no axe, no knife, a lot of items, etc. Third - My story is in progress, so if you will find a part when you see something like "Well, stupid wolf killed me" - don't leave this topic cuz I will try next game with the same challange. So... I think we can start our story. This challenge started from 61 day when I, after successfully moved soma things from Ash Canyon and Wolf Mountain. In general it was bullet for rifle and pistol, also tools like (repair kit for clothes and for items (rifle and axe, etc)). First map for was Pleasant Valley - one of the largest map in game. It was hard, because I didn't have needed skills - particulary cooking and pistol skill. I started sketch PV (pleasant valley) from left side. But, when I was walking to border I found a chest with photo. This foto was very needed, because, if you don't know, if you find a photo, you can draw the big part of map, if you will draw on right place. After that I changed my way from the border to the radio-tower and in the end of the day I was on it. After successful night I draw my map by photo and then I went to the left border. It was good way, because I immediately found a rifle in the car in the dead end road (way to Black Rock) and, behind the next corner I found a lost bunker. Despite that this bunker was the most useless of all (bunker with a firewoods) I can find a nice stuff in it. I found blue toolkit and toolkit for clothes. After it I was going to the crashed plane by border. Sometimes my coals end, but when it happened I killed wolf or deer and cooking their meat on campfire. I must say that if you haven't 5* cooking and you are hungry - you can eat 2 parts of predators meat. My recommendation - 2 parts of bears meat when each one is 1 kilo. This way get you something about 2 thousand kkal and 4% of the most of terrible illness. Of course, if you eat 2 parts of meat wolves when each one is 0.01 kilo you will get same 4% of the terrible illness but something about 130 kcal. You can see the diference. Well, in general, draw PV was hard. Sometimes, when I prepared firewoods for capmfires a bears found me and try to eat, but I'm the most faster hand on the Wild wild west. I can set fire the red stick by 1 second. This skill always save me from bears. (spoiler: this skill save me in future again). By this time I collected many types of skins and guts. For achivement I've created bears bed pack, also I've created jaket from wolfs, shirt from deer, rabbits gloves and hats. Also I killed a moose on the pound and prepare his skin for another backpack. Well, seems like Pleasant Valley draw story is end. I leave my map in the attachment and you can see my result. Next station is Desolation Point (by the way, on my opinion in RU or UA version this location called better "Мис Самоти" or "Зона Запустения").
