  1. No HUD option to include an option to leave floating HUD markers intact. Meaning: remaining fire burn time, cooking time and loose object identification. I would love to try to play TLD without any the core health indicators visable or any of the massively obnoxious on-screen prompts, "WARMING UP BONUS." Yes, I get it Hinterland, thank you for telling me every time. None of the location prompt either. Simply and only what I need to play the game with as much of a clean and unobstructed screen as possible, with the ability to not have to guess or mentally do the math on how much time which fuel source adds to a fire and how much time each food type takes to cook. TLD is a gorgeous game which is a lot of fun to record and share online. I would love to get used to playing it with NO HUD, if only Hinterland didn't expect me to be Kurt Godel in order to have fun playing that way.
  2. I really wish there was dynamite added to the game and a way to break through to connect certain areas, like AC into BRM or DP into TWM. Plus, given the nature of the mines and the lore, dynamite would make total sense. Not only that, but the entire prospect of opening these routes could be expanded to include potential death via cave-ins and damage from falling rocks.
  3. I personally am enjoying the new content so far. The only thing I would say is that I was hoping for more custom options to be added into the game and so far none of that has changed. Not sure if maybe there is some extra work needed to be done to rework the code sharing system and maybe it is something coming after all the maps are finished, but to me even the smallest additions for custom settings would go a seriously long way. Just to give some examples, the Cattail and Coal are two of the most OP loot in the entire game. I think players who play on Interloper- NOGOA settings would appreciate being able to scale back the effectiveness of these items, by creating a setting which lessens the amount spawned. Also for these players, the indoor temperatures are way too forgiving. Not sure why we can't turn off the temp bonus at the back of caves if we wanted to either. These are the most basic requests I can think of off the top of my head without even getting into a debate over design choices and new gameplay mechanics, and simple ideas like this I believe would help balance out the game for people who want to keep challenging themselves and hopefully towards feeling the same rush they had while first starting out in TLD.
  4. This would be great, especially for if we decide to play with a higher aurora frequency and the Enless Night mode.
  5. So, I think it would be great if there were some more feats centered around revamping health regen and fire burn time/bonus. Was thinking, what if you could only regenerate health when next to a fire and even further, what if you could only regenerate health for the length of time you had acquired of a burn bonus? So, if it is warm outside you would acquire less burn bonus time and therefore would have to place more fuel on the fire in order to aquire the full hour or more. It sounds convoluted, but I am certain somebody at Hinterland understands what I am suggesting. There could be a second feat meant to make it even more difficult, by halfing all time put on by burnables, or maybe only targeting certain fuel sources like coal and sticks. Thoughts?
  6. UI - Added text for the "Ptarmigan Carcass" and "Ptarmigan Nest" in the Map Details. Ptarmigan Nest just means their grazing area correct? Not a physical nest with eggs you can steal and eat right? 👀
  7. I am sure there is something in these updates that I can enjoy. Being able to make some snacks for the road as I explore is nice. I also appreciate the added buffs from the recipes and the fishing overhaul makes fishing instead of hunting more of an option, which is great. My biggest issue with these updates is that none of them make the game more challenging in any way. It's nice to see the game have more options and cozy comforts are much appreciated, however I would have hoped that the game would get rebalenced around these new systems. Something like wolves and bears stealing food on the ground and a more aggressive food poisoning mechanic, for example, might help make fresh food more precious. We couldn't have gotten bird eggs to eat?
  8. A more common light flickering aurora would be cool also. Something that causes the electric to flicker randomly, but not the wires on the floor cause that would be bs to die that way randomly.
  9. I would either follow Hinterland on twitter and wait for an announcement or check back on here and wait for the announcement. They said they had hoped for the Mac build to be ready early in the new year, so I will be checking regularly starting next Monday January 2nd.
  10. Except Insomnia means you can't sleep, so you wouldn't want caffine to help with that anyway. It could also end up being something tied to the electrostatic fog.
  11. I have been asking this same question. Seems like MAC is last on the radar, at best.
  12. Will the game run natively on my MAC M1 or will I have to use Rosetta 2? I appreciate the attention as TLD is pretty much the only game I would like to play on it.
  13. I am just imagining being able to pick one region as free(say the starting region), but have the rest of Great Bear all toxic fog. I guess either as a weather system or as the same as is in the Darkwalker challenge.
  14. I have always wondered what it would be like in TLD Survival if you could prepare and transport meat and fish, with minimal smell possible, using Tupaware. I think it would be fitting and fun to also add a system where you might get bonuses for eating certain combinations of food together, with also more penalties added for not maintaining a full diet.
  15. Setting the time of day multiplier to ×4 means all of you cores drain slower including your Fatigue, which I think if you are playing on Endless Night with the Darkwalker Perk active will drain even slower.
  16. You can already sort of acheave this effect with the 4x Time of day multiplyer setting in custom. It changes the game into a speedrun where you can progress far in just a couple hours. Maybe more fun for beginners though.
  17. I think about Endless Night once in a while and I was thinking it would be sweet if there were some actual pattern with the location of the moon with a full moon or a full moon/aurora event effecting I guess Stamina? Freazes all health core dials as well as being able to run endlessly?
  18. I have had an experience on Stalker Survival Mode where I was able to stand behind a fire and throw several torches at the bear's head. Eventually I moved closer with a torch and the bear fled. Maybe I got lucky?
  19. I think the goating in TLD is very satisfying and nowhere even close to the game breaking mechanics in Skyrim.
  20. The wolf hiding in ambush at Greymother's house is the one I remember rewinding and re-watching when I saw it. In fact, you've gotten ambushed twice in MT now that I think of it. The other one being towards the beginning of your Mod Soup run, from behind the trailer. Guess Mountain Town has a lot of places for wolves to hide and wait. 🤕
  21. Self explanatory here. Ability to use the spray paint on arrows to make them more easy to spot when retrieving.
  22. I totally agree with this sentiment. As much as I appreciate the festive aspect of a seasonal event, I would much rather have something new implemented into the custom settings of survival mode instead. Just keep working on Survival Mode PLEASE!
  23. I am the type of person who both likes to play with minimal HUD and take screencaps every so often. It would be great if the Overencumbered icon and the "wind shielded" icon also where attached to the contextual button. Also, I would play with no HUD activated if i could still be able to read the burn times when cooking as well as the fire length. kinda crucial information I we all need to know in some way.

    ski and sled

I had this exact same idea, except the way I saw it a lift could bring you up during an aurora and you would have to continuously return to the top in order to explore different areas. the entire region could be one big ski mountain with a bomb ass lodge at the bottom!
