Ok thanks , so some listening for crows then day one of that didn’t turn anything up , I think I’m right that a hit with an arrow will always eventually lead to bleed out with deer so I’ll widen my search tomorrow

Ah well it was bound to happen ! I crafted my first bow and arrow (well , I found the arrow head) and a deer runs off with my arrow embedded somewhere. I lost track of the blood as my ankles started spraining up where it ran . I’m hoping I will stumble across the carcass and arrow in the future or will an unharvested body de-spawn? Possibly taking my arrow with it? thanks

Hah really ? I’m new to switch , not sure if digital games and internal memory is quicker or slower than a game cartridge. Either way I just love playing it on switch

Having said that, load and save are a bit slow but hey ho

I’ve played on ps4 Pro for a few years, and on Switch for a few months and I am really really liking the Switch version a lot! Overall the frame rate is better and more consistent than the PS4 pro and maybe it’s my tv but it’s much easier to see UI shadings in the switch too. Maybe there is a smidge or pop up but really playing TLD Switch is just ace! I’m looking forward to the updates soon but for now this is just perfection thanks Hinterland!

A mug or two would be top of my list. Maybe some red and blue flares that are actually pens that I can leave laying about. And absolutely and definitely some stickers including window stickers

Decided to try for a bear, I shot one from a high rock, he found the way up and came for me on the rock! Got him again just in time and he dropped at my feet, what a rush! Ok so now I’ve got a stack of meat to deal with!! Normally I lug a deer back to my nearest base on one or two trips avoiding known wolf areas and using half as many calories as I’m going to get from the meat… but this wasn’t really possible today, then I thought : “duh why am I dragging meat back to a base? Why not leave on the ground somewhere useful?” And all of a sudden I am free from hoarding and can leave a network of food caches to use as I move! Face palm moment as well as the first bear high pleased

Now that is weird!

Strange, came out of PV farm porch and walked through the trees toward the small barn, uh oh I spot a bear walking between the farm and the barn over to my right, I did a quick reroute off to the left up the snow bank along the river. A few seconds later I’m at the top of the bank and turn around to check things, and the bear has seemingly vanished. I couldn’t see it in the field or in the sunken road between the farm and the barn either, waited and waited and no further sign of the bear. Weird

Also: lol imagine rush for a stick “I saw that stick first!!” “No! I it’s MY stick!!!” Etc

The third person view would have to happen if we were to see another player, this would make me happy but seems like a big job to do

Hi maybe this is known already but I’ve started having a problem when I choose a fuel to add to the fire and it doesn’t happen, the cursor just jumps back to the top item in fuel list, if I choose the fuel item again it does add. Mildly annoying but if it’s not a known issue I’ll make a bug report

I’d like the currently highlighted item to be more obvious, especially on the left hand side where you pick theme such as clothing , fire, tools etc on my tv it’s easy to think you’re choosing a theme and you’ve actually got something selected which if it’s uncooked meat will of course be eaten doh

We can currently light a flare and reload a gun while moving, but when drinking the character and camera are fixed. I think it would be cool if you could still look around while drinking. It's a moment to pause for sure, because drinking and walking or running is awkward, but to leave the camera moveable while drinking would be great and probably quite easy to build in? Planning your next move while you refresh etc..

The first time I played I made a series of neat piles of organised gear almost underneath the bus. Thought I’d outfoxed them… but nah And yes despite being almost naked when I met Jace I could see my clothing in the fight with Mathis, and didn’t seem to get cold.
