I tried to compensate this utter waiting boredom by watching Arc's excellent journey into fixing Mountaineer Hut's roof (🤣) spoiler: he gets to to the roof and "fixing" next vid
Broken Railroad, there's nothing of particular interest there. Well except it's now a gateway to DLC maps I guess but on it's own it's just more general loot and mediocre scenery
I'm not sure of what's the incentive of going into the Zone of Contamination either, unless you do Far Territories -only run or are bored. I suppose if you're in Transfer Pass it makes sense hitting Idle Camp since it's very close. But venturing into the big mining buildings feels more exhausting than fun, plus of course the mines itself are worthless
I wish the Custom menu would enable you to choose what animals spawn in each region. But even more than that, that the animals would have more random pathing instead of designated patrol routes
There are bit too many crash sites in the game now. However, they're still not as immersion breaking as the random bunkers in the woods and magical beachcombing gifts from Santa.
If it wasn't for their Instagram account posting something random ocassionally, you'd think the entire company was in hibernation
(They're not obviously, but once again that's what their non-existent communication makes it look like)
Furthermore, what would have made actual sense was if they enabled carcass harvesting by hand if you reached level 3 of harvesting skill, to bring it in line with fire starting = no tinder for Fire skill level 3
I don't mind the change really per say but if you're doing one region -run it makes it less likely you can keep surviving if hacksaw doesn't spawn it. I mean you can sort of cheat it by luring wolfs into killing the deer or rabbits but that's exploitative
Also obviously not realistic considering you can skin rabbits with bare hands IRL
I guess I have to experiment with the "survival monologue" turned on, even though I can't stand it. That's the only audio setting I can tinker with, even though it shouldn't affect other sounds. Well that and the player+NPC voice on general audio but why would that make any difference. Otherwise it's probably some other random bug (on Steam).
Yeah auroras sometimes have sounds, sometimes not. But that's not as annoying as aurora doesn't attack you
I had silent wolves before DLC part 4 and had hoped things would get sorted
Looks like a bug. Anytime I'm now playing Custom mode, the wolfs are completely mute and therefore attack can come out of nowhere. But if I play one of the "official" game modes, the sounds work fine.
I have the Survival monologue always turned off (since I can't stand those voices) in Custom, but is that what's breaking the animal sounds now too?
Nobody in NOGOA (or low recovery mode or some other harder variation) is gonna play through Tales. And I don't wanna play it anyway as I don't care about the story. Even if I did, what's the replay value
