Another idea is to use reclaimed wood exclusively to build your makeshift furniture and have a skill that makes your buildings look a bit nicer and make them more efficiently

I often find that in late game I spend quite a bit of time indoors, It would be a nice feature to be able to move around furniture or fix the decrepit shelving and generally make the place that you're staying in a bit nicer
