I don't think I'm gonna make it. I might get enough chips, but I've found less than 10 syrup, and the only places I haven't visited yet are Coastal Highway, Crumbling Highway, and Desolation Point. Does it have to be in a single playthrough that you find 25 of each? Or can I start a new one?

Yeah, but cans are so dang heavy. A little back of soup sachets would be easy peasy to carry around

A naturally occurring coffee substitute that can be gathered like rose hips and mushrooms etc. A way to preserve meat, such as smoking it to make jerky and drying fish to make dried fish, so its shelf life becomes much higher. You will eventually run out of forageable food and bullets/arrows to shoot wildlife. Cup-o-soup packets. Not the kind that comes with the cup, but the kind that comes in little sachets to make instant 'broth'. Sometimes you want to warm up, but neither coffee or tea is appropriate.

One thing you'd need if you go sandbox and want to live as long as possible is a stable, long-term source of food. Wild animals, sure - down a bear and get 30kg of meat. But meat spoils. If there was a thing to smoke meat or dry it so it's jerky, problem solved. Sure, it'll make you thirsty, but water in abundant as long as you have a fire to melt and boil it.
